Video Playback

Video Node

The Video Node plays video over HDMI with hardware decoding and seamless transitions — for screens that are part of the story, not a distraction.

What it's for

When a screen is a window, a portal or a character, it cannot stutter or flash a desktop. The Video Node decodes video in hardware and transitions cleanly between clips, so on-screen moments are as reliable as the rest of the show. EDID lock keeps the display stable even if a projector or panel is power-cycled.

A portrait that watches you

In a museum's haunted-house exhibit, a framed display shows a still portrait until a sensor notices a visitor lingering — then the Video Node crossfades to the portrait blinking and turning its head, and back, seamlessly, hundreds of times a day, with no boot screens and no stutter.
